My practice specializes in treating adult individuals and couples who are struggling with issues related to anxiety, stress coping, difficult life transitions, and relationship distress. With individuals, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. With Couples, I use the Gottman Method. Treatment is goal-focused and often involves between-session exercises that you can do in your real-life world.
Cyndi Peters, MS, LMFT has been in private practice since 2006. She currently resides in Northern Illinois with her husband, teenage son, and 2 dogs and a cat. She came out of a "soft retirement" from private practice during the height of COVID-19. She continues to find great satisfaction from connecting with people right where they are in their pursuit for personal growth & happiness.
